EKAP: Hello. My name is Laura, I live in Belgium and I am the creator of the Emily Kokal Appreciation Page. I decided to post a message here after one of my Russian friends brought to my attention hw one guy "Johnny Fly" was claiming to know Emily and offering EP songs for download. Dude. You don't Emily. You don't have any right whatsoever to offer these songs for download in public. It is very rude and illegal. If you had any respect or admiration for the band, you shouldn't be doing that. It doesn't matter whether I myself know Emily or not, that is not of anybody's affairs. But know that she would not allow you to share these songs. In the past, Warpaint offered their demos for download, for which we are very grateful. If they wanted for us to have their EP songs for free, then they would have offered them via their MySpace. But they didn't. I already have the EP, because someone bought it for me and sent it over from Philadelphia. I could easily rip it off and put it up for download, but guess what I won't. That isn't always easy because I would very much like to share all the songs with my friends, but that is not the right thing to do. We should wait for the EP to become available for sale, and trust me I know the waiting takes long. Same goes for all of the Little Two's songs you're offering. You're offering half of the record, whil it is currently for sale. You should be ashamed, instead of being proud. Maybe you can take I-M.net as an example in this matter, at least they respect the band: http://forums.invisible-movement.net/index.php?showtopic=2495 I'm hoping for a moderator to step in and do what should be done, namely to remove those links as possible. Thanks.
EKAP: These tracks you are offering, 13 and 22, they were a personal gift to me from a friend, and I only offered them for listening after I requested Emily's permission. I hope someone takes them off. Johnny Fly has no right over those songs.

And, yes, it's part of our nature - to share) It's a pretty loud words, I know, I wrote it just for you to understand Johnny Fly. He shared these songs not because he disrespects Emily but because he just loves her music and wants us to listen it. I understand why you wrote your post. And I've already edited the posts with the links. I'll try to watch this topic very carefully, so don't worry.
EKAP: Oh thanks. It's a matter of copyright, especially concerning the songs on the EP. The band is currently working hard on offering their EP for sale globally, and they're also working on a new artwork to go with it. I didn't know about the cultural difference. So, in spite of the downloadlinks, it was very nice of Johnny Fly to spread the news about Emily's music. I'm not against sharing either, but please do it discretely, using PM for instance, and not on the boards. Thank you very much for the quick respons to my request. Laura
